Director of Counseling, Mickey Lovett

Mickey joined Church Health Solutions in 2021 as the Counseling Coordinator. Mickey also assists in Transitional Pastor, RW360, and church conflict mediation.Mickey can be contacted @ Office Number: (731) 333-6189 Email: mickey.lovett@newvisionlife.com Mickey counsels Biblically according to the Standards of Conduct of ACBC. He has had the opportunity over the past 4 years to counsel many Christians including several pastors and pastor families. This Biblical Counseling method is really as old as pastoral ministry. The God of the Bible is referred to as the Wonderful Counselor. When believers gather around God’s Word with the help of God’s Spirit we will find answers to life’s most difficult problems. The Word of God is alive and active. The Spirit of God is all knowing and implants His powerful Word in our hearts at the proper place and the proper time to comfort and counsel all of God’s children. Medical doctors minister to the body and the symptoms. Biblical Counseling done well ministers to the soul of the counselees and the counselor. The Word is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. The counselor/counselees are bearing one another’s burdens in the fellowship of the Spirit. The love of the Father proceeds to all of His children through the Goods News of Jesus and the fruit of the Spirit. “The gospel . . . is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes’ ‘ Romans 1:16 That salvation is not just our eternal salvation but our temporal salvation here on earth as we seek to live in peace among our fellow believers. The Lord assures us: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” Heb 13:5–6. Biblical Counseling is about the power of God to bring healing and peace to you, your family, and your church.

Personal

Mickey and his wife Dixie have been married 41 years. They have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren and make their home in Murfreesboro, TN.

DMin Program at RTS Charlotte under Dr. Jim Newheiser, Executive Director of The Institute for Biblical Counseling & Discipleship. DMin project focused on Biblical Koinonia: Union in Christ, Communion with God, Participation in the Spirit, Fellowship of the Believers Resulting in Making Disciples Who Make Disciples in Sweet Fellowship with God, Family, Church, Community.

Mission Trips
– Germany, Taught Bible Classes for IMB Missionary Kids (Summer, 2011). Dakar, Senegal, Africa, prayer-walked & evangelized Muslims (Spring, 2010). Nepal, trained pastors and engaged Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims with the

– Gospel (Summer 2010 and Summer 2009). Brazil, led Bible school for rural kids (Summer, 2003). Co-led Christian service work mission trips: Metro Tampa, Toronto, Detroit, Metro Memphis, and Metro Nashville.

–  Two England-Scotland Study Trips: Evangelized British. Preached the Gospel to Muslims with Jay Smith at Hyde Park Speaker’s Corner in London (Summer, 2008 & 2010).
